Is the Astronomy and Astrology of India, preserved as a 5,000+ year old oral tradition. This ancient system of divination is a sister science to the Vedic sciences of ayurveda, yoga, and its corresponding philosophies.

Jyotiṣa is the ‘eyes of the Vedas’ it is the science of our heavenly lights. As we observe the intricate sky patterns, nature reveals incredible ways to predict the recurring cycles of time and karma. Born of the stars and guided by the stars, this science supports living in harmony with the seed knowledge of our vast universe.

I began my studies within the Vedic tradition of Jyotiṣa ‘The Science of Light’, in 2014 under the guidance of Allison Bodhani. As Indias oldest system of divination it has been preserved as an oral tradition for over 5,000 years.
After being introduced to Jyotiṣa an interest in sky observation was sparked. It quickly led me to Mauna Kea, Hawai’i, the epicenter for Astronomy research. I joined the stargazing program in 2015 at the Onizuka Center for International Astronomy and spent two and half years immersing myself in ancient star lore and astronomy.
I owe many thanks to the generosity and guidance of my teachers in the Vedic Tradition: Penny Farrow, Margaret Mahan, Steven Highburger, and Vinay Aditya. In sharing this tradition, I aim to create space for the same light, wisdom, and awareness that I received from the stars above and dedicated teachers that have found me on my journey.
I completed my 200 hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Sivananda Yoga Farm in August of 2021. I have been a practicing student of Ashtanga yoga for 10+ years.
